Judging by the kvr thread people moan about demo restrictions at great length anyway. Plus he gives a month's refund on your £30. Also explains the quietness of this thread.Jeez, there's a free version of the first iteration of his algorithms available to download (Temper) which I tried and was what led me to get the paid-for version. Even the big names wouldn't be able to do this - ie assume people would buy on trust - and, respectively, you're not a big name. Come on now, demoing IS the paradigm of plug-in purchasing. I don't get what these companies are thinking. I'd be interesting in demo-ing, but there is no demo. But, thanks to the feedback, I have been able to find and fix two separate issues which had introduced the unpleasant phasing in the previous build. This primarily affects the higher frequencies, so if you target the Low band with a reasonably low Crossover Cutoff you can likely use the Mix knob without high frequency phasing. This is simply due to having a wet/dry mix option where the wet band undergoes aggressive phase distortion, as is intended here. **Quick clarification here: it is still possible to find a "phasing" sound with Tantrum. The update is available on the website now, and if you've already purchased, then you should have received an email with a link to download the update. * Bugfix for loading the wrong curve shape * Bugfixes on internal latency compensation & band splitting, resolving several large phasing issues** Now the first two minutes are uninterrupted, followed by periodic white noise. At a certain point it became clear the new developments needed to be a product of its own, and now, I'm happy to say that Tantrum can mangle sounds in a way that Temper can't come close to, yet carries the versatility to be a subtle, careful tool at the same time. It's been available for free on our store since February (go get it if you haven't!), and we've been thrilled with the response it's getting.Īfter a few months with Temper, I realized that I still hadn't quite scratched the itch– there was more I could squeeze out of the phase distortion algorithm that makes Temper unique, and so began continued development. We announced Temper, our first attempt at digital distortion, about nine months ago. Learn more and try the free demo on our website: Tantrum – Creative Intent It's born from the same unique phase distortion as in our first product, Temper, but has grown into a far more powerful, dynamic sound. Tantrum, the second plugin from Creative Intent, is a new take on digital distortion. The following is copied from the developers post on KVR: I picked it up over the weekend for 1/2 price using discount code AUDIOPLUGINGUY. Kind of surprised this new distortion plugin hasn't been mentioned here.
